Stalls for Australia Day Great Aussie BBQ

Australia Day – Thursday 26 January 2017, 10am – 4pm, Bradfield Park, Milsons Point Australianflag

The North Sydney Council’s Great Aussie BBQ will complement the Australia Day Council’s harbour program. This new event celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity, building on the tradition of an Aussie backyard BBQ, to create a multicultural park food event featuring barbequed foods from a variety of international cuisines. Bradfield Park is the perfect viewing space for the harbour events. The event will include live music and children’s activities.

A limited number of barbequed food stallholder positions will be available for this event.

Only 3x3m sized stalls are permitted at this event.

North Sydney Council’s Twilight Food Fair (once known as the Noodle Market) has been operating since 1990.

The event is held in Civic Centre Park, at 200 Miller St, North Sydney every Friday in the months between November to March (excluding public holidays). Twilight Food Fairv2

Featuring a range of international cuisines and entertainment each week, it’s a firm favourite for both families and individuals looking to make the most of their balmy-summer evenings. With good food, relaxed dining and great entertainment at its heart, Twilight Food Fair attracts lots of people to Civic Park every Friday night.

The 2016/17 season will operate every Friday from 4 November 2016 to 3 March 2017. This will be a 16 date run excluding 23 Dec and 30 Dec.

Approved stallholders are expected to attend every week of the season.

In order to keep the season fresh and dynamic stallholders must apply with a regular weekly menu and a “dish of the month”. Each month one of the menu items should be new. This is in addition to or in exchange for an item on the regular weekly menu. The regular weekly menu can be served for the full length of the season. In February 2017 you may be asked to bring back your most popular “dish of the month”.

Every year the Twilight Food Fair receives a large amount of interest from stallholders and Council is seeking to increase the quality of food and entertainment provided to the community. New stallholders and stallholders involved in previous seasons are encouraged to apply however no guarantee is offered that a place is held for this or future years. Each year applications will be assessed on a clean slate.

A massive two day festival celebrating the best of local community.

The Showground Arena will be packed with lots of activities including Pippa’s Playland, Active Zest, Community Stage with local performances, Community Grove showcasing the Hi…lls’ community groups and services and OBF Eat Street featuring a range of delicious food.

There will be fireworks on Saturday evening and amusement rides throughout the two day festival. Also, the OBF Parade take place at 2pm on Saturday around the Showground Arena.
